In preparation for Annual Conference, the ALA Office of Government Relations (OGR) has updated its issue briefs on federal legislative activity. The briefs are available on OGR’s website.
The briefs cover topics including access, appropriations for libraries, broadband and telecommunications, copyright, government services and information, school libraries, and surveillance and privacy. A brief on the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) reauthorization will be available midweek after the bill is introduced in the Senate. A “Key Issues for Libraries” brief is also available. View the briefs here.
