Mark Your Calendar: National Library Legislative Day 2009

NLLD 2009 logoA new Presidential Administration and a new Congress have arrived in Washington, D.C.  Now is the time to get our message out to Congress and advocate for libraries!

The 2009 National Library Legislative Day (NLLD) is quickly approaching and will be held on Monday, May 11th and Tuesday, May 12th at the Liaison Hotel in Washington, D.C.  Please make sure to sign up early – while the American Library Association has reserved a block of rooms at the the Liaison Hotel, they always go quickly and you’ll want to be at the center of the action!

Organize a Virtual Library Legislative Day!

You can still participate in NLLD by organizing library supporters in your state to phone, fax and email Congress on May 11th and 12th. Virtual Library Legislative Day (VLLD) communicates the needs of libraries to Congress and increases the impact of National Library Legislative Day in Washington, D.C.
