On October 6, Alan Inouye, Director of ALA’s Office for Information Technology Policy (OITP), and Bob Bocher, Chair of the OITP Subcommittee on Telecommunications, presented the ALA Washington Office Update at the 2007 Library and Information Technology Association (LITA) National Forum in Denver, CO.
They covered, among other things, connectivity and public libraries, digital content and copyright, and current telecommunications issues. Their presentation makes for an excellent briefing on the close relationship of today’s libraries with modern information technology.
