Today, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) announced the finalists for the National Medal for Museum and Library Service. The National Medal is the nation’s highest honor that celebrates museums and libraries that make a difference for individuals, families, and communities.
Medal winners will participate in an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., win a $5,000 award and receive a visit from StoryCorps, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to recording, preserving, and sharing the stories of Americans. Continue reading
