Teen issues and tech policies intersect this Thursday

Teen Tech Week

In what ways are Washington issues affecting teen library users? How can librarians support technology policies that support teenagers? Ask these questions and more this Thursday when technology policy leaders from the American Library Association’s Office for Information Technology Policy (OITP) discuss digital learning via the Young Adult Library Services Association’s @yalsa Twitter account.

As part of Teen Tech Week, OITP will join several businesses, nonprofits, library organizations and Internet companies in highlighting the digital tools, resources and services that libraries offer to teens and their families. OITP will cover a variety of topics all-day Thursday, including current technology policies, internet filtering, copyright fair use, internet access and net neutrality.

Ask questions and follow the Twitter discussion using the #TTW14 hashtag.
