Libraries & Health Insurance: Preparing for October 1

Is your library prepared to deal with the rush of patrons who will need help filling out Affordable Care Act health form applications this year? In October, library patrons are expected to come to libraries in great numbers to learn about new insurance requirements and options available. Libraries will need to know about the resources that will help library patrons.

Get ready for the health program by going to a new session at this year’s 2013 Annual ALA Conference. To learn how to serve patrons on the new health program, participate in “Libraries & Health Insurance: Preparing for October 1,” Sunday, June 30, 2013, from 1:00—2:30p.m. in the McCormick Place Convention Center Room S501BCD. Speakers include Jackie Garner Medicaid consortium administrator; Susan Hildreth, director of Institute of Museum and Library Services and Kendra Morgan, senior program manager, OCLC Webjunction.
