House, Senate receive letters of support for library programs

As the Senate and House Appropriations Committees work on the FY 2012 budget, a few letters have been sent to the House and Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations Subcommittees.

Two letters were sent to Chairman Denny Rehberg (R-MT, At Large) and Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro (D-CT, 3rd) in the House.  One letter asked for increased support in funding for the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA), and the other letter asked for increased support in funding for Improving Literacy Through School Libraries.  To view the LSTA letter please click here, and to view the Improving Literacy Through School Libraries please click here.

The LSTA letter has received 29 signatures from House members, and the school libraries letter received 21 signatures.  Below are the members who signed on to each letter.
