As you know, we’re involved in the broad range of topics related to the revolution in information technology, future roles of libraries, and consequent public policy implications. One such interesting and important issue is the intersection of libraries and journalism. As journalism continues its own major evolution, it raises new questions of how libraries may serve America’s communities most effectively. We are pleased to participate in the planning of the conference “Beyond Books: News, literacy, democracy and America’s Libraries” to be held on April 6-7, 2011, in Cambridge, Mass. We hope that you will spread the word and some of you will be able to participate.
